XAIBIM is a research project focused on building an eXplainable Artificial Intelligence framework for Building Information Modeling. We bridge the gap between black-box AI and human-readable engineering decisions.

By providing clear justifications for AI-driven decisions (like automated classification or cost estimation), we ensure compliance with safety standards and increase trust between engineers and technology.

The core methodology and several of our tools are open-source to promote open science and collaborative research in the AEC industry.

We welcome universities, research institutions, and AEC companies interested in implementing explainable AI standards for BIM.
